16bit 44.1kHz sampling unit. independent computer with monochrome display, trackball, floppy and operating system.
16 inputs for so called zone intelligent pads, 16 outputs. Optional internal hard drive, scsi interface, up to 8MB ram.
The chassis consists of a a heavy steel frame with a welded on grip and a sheet metal tub that holds the electronic boards The upper covering is made of coated plywood.
Lifting the chassis reminds me of the Star Wars scene where dieing Darth Vader lifts his helmet: Under a real exclusive piece of industrial design there's an ordenary ugly computer doing its work.
